Our Story
After leading a well-respected, geotechnical engineering firm for many years, J. Fred Triggs, PE, decided to develop, manufacture and sell a soil testing tool he had always wanted but never found… the WILDCAT DCP!
The WILDCAT DCP was first introduced at the1991 Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) Annual Meeting. It was received with professional enthusiasm and now has hundreds of dedicated users across the country and the globe.
Fred happily ran Triggs Technologies for 25 years, retiring in his early 80s with the onset of illness. Prior to his retirement, he recruited and trained several of his daughters in this work; Triggs Technologies is now owned and run by two of them: Sally Triggs and Meg Baerman.
Fred passed away in 2019. His spirit of professionalism, fairness and accessibility continue to guide the company that started with his innovative mind and geotechnical expertise.
