The STORK Hammer Lifter

Go from manual to motorized.
Reduce fatigue. Test for longer.

The STORK is a motorized pulley system that effectively decreases the weight of your WILDCAT hammer from 35 pounds to 2.5 pounds, thus allowing for less fatigue and longer, more enthusiastic testing.

Disassembled, it easily fits in the hatch or trunk of a car and weighs just 60 pounds.  Wheels are attached to its base, making it easy to roll over terrain to a designated testing spot.

When operating the WILDCAT DCP using the STORK Hammer Lifter, the operator manually drives the point to a 30 cm depth before motorized lifting begins, assuring that the test is plumb.  For the rest of the test, a loop of 3/8” rope over a motorized cathead allows the hammer to be raised as the operator pulls just 2.5 pounds of tension on the rope.  He lifts until he hears the hammer meet the lower end of the anvil on the hammer rod, then releases tension on the rope, allowing the hammer to fall.  This process is repeated as testing requires.  A 12-volt battery (a car or portable battery will work) powers the motor through the 35 foot cable.

We appreciate the benefits of exercise, but acknowledge that a STORK opens up the possibility of a long day of testing for any user, regardless of build or fitness level.Your WILDCAT team will appreciate the ease that the STORK provides.

My first experience using the STORK was to perform DCP testing on the site of a bowling alley remodel, soon to become a self-storage facility. Working inside an existing building, the ease of use and mobility of the STORK turned what was estimated to be a full-day job into only a couple hours of easy work for just myself. I would highly recommend the STORK.
