The Cinch Chain

Losing rods buried too deep?

A new feature of the WILDCAT DCP will save you (and your rods)!

Our customers have rarely (thankfully!) had 1-meter rod breaks as they are being extracted.  The worst-case scenario is when this leaves a string of perfectly good rods buried beneath the earth.  The tool used for extraction previously (a post-popper with a modified plate) was unable to grasp the short piece of rod emerging from or close to the surface of the ground.  The consequence to the customer was a long string of lost rods.

To remedy this situation, we had our manufacturers create a new device for us: the cinch chain!  The Cinch chain is easy to use, and can help pull up a buried string, as well as safely extract an undamaged string of rods.  Sometimes the customer may have to dig to reveal the top portion of the broken rod, but with a bit of effort, almost every lost string can be recovered.

All new WILDCAT DCP kits come with the Cinch Chain included. When purchased separately as an accessory for your existing WILDCAT kit, the Cinch Chain is $65:
