The WILDCAT DCP produces the data you need, with the detail you want.

The WILDCAT DCP is a 10cm², lost point, slurry injected instrument. A biodegradable water and cellulose slurry is used to fill the annulus between the cone’s path and the smaller diameter rods. This reduces soil friction absorbing appreciable energy that should be applied to the cone.

Through extensive testing, we established a correlation between cone resistances and Standard Penetration Test “N” values. These correlations were presented in a paper at the 1991 Annual Meeting of the Association of Engineering Geologists and remain widely accepted as appropriate and accurate.

Our logging software uses Microsoft Excel to calculate and organize a detailed log showing test depths, hammer blows per 10cm, cone resistances in Kg/cm², equivalent SPT-N values, and consistencies of tested soils.
